Woodham Radars FC

(Incorporating South Woodham FC & Ferrers Athletic FC)

Childline

The club was formed in 1972 to provide football for the youngsters of South Woodham Ferrers and became the first youth football club in the town.
A club name had to be agreed on, and this came out of the Marconi radar station situated on the outskirts of the village.
The club originally provided football for the under 8s to under 16s, but as the town grew and the under 16s had nowhere to go this was extended to 18 year olds.

The club expanded as players got older and we extended our activities into junior, mens and veterans football.

In 2009 the club were awarded the FA status of Charter Standard.
Our aim is to encourage the youngsters of the area to develop their skills of  "the beautiful game" and would be pleased to hear from any prospective players from ages 5 to 50 ..............
